NEC Autosport Show 12th-15th Jan 17

Car of the day…….   Liberty walk’s Ferrari 458

I choose this car because I admire that someone had the guts to cut up and modify what many people feel is one of the best supercars on the market.

So excited to visit the Autosport for the first time on the 12th Jan 17. An event where the motorsport stars and cars can take centre stage. A Special Stage was set up to celebrate the 40th Anniversary for Williams Martini Racing, which set the atmosphere for the day.
You could sense in the air, this is the place networking and business deals were in the making, bringing together the creme de la crème of high performance engineers and professionals.

Highlight of the day was chatting on the Xpel stand, although I have used paint protection films for years, it’s apparent that Xpel are market leaders. Took away lots of information, overall impressed with the how the product looked on their Focus RS demo cars. So, booked on their 5-day training course to be authorised installers.

Auto finesse stall looked stunning, showcasing the mk1 caddy, I managed to blag a few freebies from Jack.

Purchased two Rupes buffers kits from their ibird generation, short neck inano polisher and a long neck. They allowed me to leave at the stall until the end of the day if I did a demo on their bonnet test panel. As with anything when you make a noise with a buffer you look up and you have a small crowed around you, only notice when I stop as was to engrossed in the handling of the buffer.

Other key features of the event were seeing Tim and Fuss do an unveil of a Classic Mercedes SL for one of our favourite show Car SOS.
